The Last Day of Grade Two!

We had an amazing year in Grade Two.  Here are some of our favourite things that we did this year.

I liked meeting all the kids in my class. - Nathan
I liked going to the splashpad. - Emma
I liked doing science experiments. - Payton
I liked our class library. - Laicee
I liked being in Carson's class for the 4th time. - Cameron
I liked being with Nathan for the 4th time. - Callan
I liked having friends that I already knew in my class. - Sophie
I liked all the books that we read in our class. - William
I liked doing the spirit games. - Maryn
I liked being with Cameron again. - Carson

I LOVED  having all of you in my class!  I LOVED playing all our cool math games.  I LOVED hearing you read.  I LOVED reading your amazing writing.  I LOVED seeing the wonder and excitement in your eyes as you discovered, explored and learned.  I LOVED watching you grow.

Camp Kintail!

On Monday, we travelled to Camp Kintail for a day of fun!  It was a long bus ride, but once we got there we had an amazing time.  We loved searching for Hobbits and checking out the cool new cabins that have been built for campers.  We learned some fun games like Ga Ga Ball, Ricki Ticki and Cups.  We practiced working together on low ropes to transport a ball from one spot to another.  We even got to use a bow and shoot some arrows.  It was a fantastic day.

Thanks to Grant Graham, Lisa Blight, Jessica Chateauvert, Julie Eaton, Val Goad, Steve Goad, Sheila Kruse, Wes Mc Clocklin and Sarah McIntosh for coming with us and helping to supervise our group.
We hope the parents had as much fun as we did!  What a great way to end our year together!

Friday Fun!

What a busy, amazing day!  First, our whole school play day and then the splash pad!  What a fun way to wrap up the last full week of school.  Only a few more crazy days left!  Hang onto your hats!
Summer is around the corner!

Our Walking Excursion

We had a great day for a walking trip!  It was nice to see Karen at the Library.  She introduced us to 'Tina' who is the summer program co-ordinator.  Tina told us all about the fun things that are happening at the Library this summer.  We heard some fabulous stories, played with thousands of pieces of lego and enjoyed our lunch outdoors.  At Hearns we relaxed with a cool treat which gave us just enough energy to make it back to the school before we collapsed with our Independent Reading Bags!
