Here Comes The Sun

I couldn't resist posting pictures of our latest art project.  These 'sunny' pictures just make me happy!  We talked about the 'horizon' line and used other kinds of lines to create the rays of the sun and roll of the land/water.  We used warm colours on top and cool colours on the bottom.  We used pastels and learned the best way to get solid colour was to use small strokes and apply a lot of pressure!  The finished product was really beautiful!
